 Announcements for the Club:

WE HAVE 69 MEMBERS AND COUNTING!!

The new 4-H year is starting!!!

* End of year recognition forms will be due to extension office by Oct. 1st. All forms should be updated and online by the end of next week.

* Name that Theme Contest: If you would like to send in a suggestion for the new 4-H theme this year they have to be into the extension office by Friday, September 24th. Keep it short and simple. ( around 3-4 words).

* New enrollment will be in September. We will have an open house sign-up night on Thursday, September 9th from 6:30pm - 8:00pm at the youth center. Roxanne will have everyone’s packets that night as well as at the school open house on the 7th. We are planning on having a table set up that night also.

* We will be hosting the Boone County horse show on September 10th and we will have the concession stand. Roxanne needs members to help work in the concession stand from 6:00pm -probably around 9:00pm. * ALL depends how long the show last!!* Roxanne needs families that do not have kids in the horse show to please help out. If you can, let her know.

* Junior Council next meeting is September 7th at 7pm at extension office in Columbia. They are looking for new members. If you are 13-18 yrs. of age and would like to join Jr. Council. There is also a group called LCL and it is for members 11-13yrs. If you need more information on these two groups, let Roxanne know.

REMINDER OF GOOD STANDING POLICY:  Remember that to be in good standing with the club and to get credit for your project and participate at the fair, you have to attend half of the monthly meetings, 6 hours of your project meetings and help with a big fundraiser and community project.
