Announcements for the Club:

WE HAVE 69 MEMBERS AND COUNTING!!

  • March 6th & 7th – Deer Classic in Columbia. We talked a little about this at the Jan. meeting and Richard talked to those at the rifle meeting. Our club is supposed to help work at the booths that Sat. morning. The kids and adults in the past have had a lot of fun working in the booths. There will be a lot of vendors there for hunting, fishing, ect. If anyone can help work that morning on the 6th, please let Roxanne know as soon as possible. We need adults and members 8 and older.
  • March 13th- BoCoMo- at the Ashland Optimist Club in Ashland. Doors open at 6pm. They will have food, games, silent auction and the royalty contest. Anyone wanting to apply for the royalty needs to get their forms to Roxanne by Feb. 26th. Roxanne has some forms or you can download them off the 4-H web site. Roxanne does have to sign the forms.
  • March 22nd- SMQA Training at 7pm. If you are planning to attend you need to RSVP to the extension office. This is for members that are doing a livestock project like sheep, goat, poultry, beef. Members 8-13 have to do the training for two years and then again after they turn 14 and then they are done. Members 14 and older only have to do it one time.
  • March 27th- 4-H Club Lock-in. We will start around 7:30pm Sat. night and if we can get kids picked up by 7 am. on Sunday morning. We will talk more about this at the March meeting. It is at the rec. center.
  • April 17th- Club Trash Pick-up. We will start at 9 am. We will talk about this more at the March meeting.

  • T-shirts- I do have t-shirts if you ordered one. I have a few extra if you did not order one and need one. I will have them at the March meeting. The March meeting theme is “Wear green’, so we are asking that everyone wear their 4-H shirt or a green shirt.
